Data Protection

We appreciate your interest in our website. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. We would like to inform you in detail about how your data is handled. In addition, we will inform you about your rights under data protection laws and, of course, tell you whom to contact if you have any questions.

Data controller

The data controller within the meaning of GDPR is LEAB Automotive GmbH, Thorshammer 6,
DE-24866 Busdorf (hereafter "we").

Storage of access data in server log files
You can visit our websites without providing personal information. We only store access data in so-called server log files, such as the name of the requested file, the date and time of the retrieval, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is evaluated solely to ensure the smooth running of the site and to improve our offer, and does not enable us to draw conclusions about your person.

Privacy Policy for Applicants

We process the information you have provided to us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the position (or, if applicable, other open positions in our company) and to complete the application process.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is primarily §26 of the Federal Data Protection Act (new).

If the data is required for legal prosecution after completing the application process, data processing may be performed based on the requirements of Art. 6 GDPR, in particular for the exercise of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. F) GDPR. Our interest then lies in the assertion or defence against claims.

Your data will be deleted in the event of cancellation after 6 months. In the event that you have consented to further storage of your personal data, we will transfer your data to our applicant pool. Here, the data will be deleted after ten years.

If you have received confirmation for a job as part of the application process, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred to our personnel information system.

Your application data will be viewed by the Human Resources department upon receipt of your application. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to the department heads for the respective open position. The only people who will have access to your data are those that need it to ensure that our application process runs properly.

The data is processed solely in data centres of the Federal Republic of Germany.

You can find your rights and a contact at the end of this privacy policy.

Data collection and use for contract processing and opening a customer account
We collect personal information if you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order, when contacting us (for example, by contact form or email) or when opening a customer account. The data collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data provided by you to fulfil the contract and to process your inquiries.

The processing of the data entered into the contact form is therefore exclusively based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR. You can revoke this consent at any time by sending a message to the contact option detailed below. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

After completion of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after expiry of the tax and commercial retention periods, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use the data as legally permitted, of which we inform you below. You can delete your customer account at any time, either by sending a message to the contact option detailed below or via a designated function in the customer account.

Length of storage

The full IP address is not stored. We do not store your usage data longer than we need for processing purposes. If the data is no longer required for the fulfilment of contractual or legal obligations, it will be deleted. The exception to this rule is if its – limited – retention period is still necessary. In this case, your data will be blocked for further use until final deletion.

Data transfer for fulfilment of the contract

For fulfilment of the contract, we will pass on your data to the delivery company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select in the order process, we will forward the payment data collected to the payment institution responsible for the payment and any payment service providers commissioned by us or to the selected payment service for processing payments. The selected payment service providers partly also collect this data themselves, provided that you create an account there. In this case, you must log in to the payment service provider with your access data during the ordering process. In this respect, the privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies. The processing of your data for the fulfilment of the contract is legal under Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR.

Data usage when registering for the email newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data required or separately provided by you to regularly send you our email newsletter according to your consent. You may de-register from the newsletter at any time, either by a message to the contact option described below or via a dedicated link in the newsletter. The use of data when registering for the email newsletter is based on Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR.

Integration of the Trusted Shops Trustbadge
To display our Trusted Shops seal of approval and any collected reviews as well as to offer the Trusted Shops products for buyers after placing an order, the Trusted Shops Trust Badge is included on this website. This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests, which predominate in the context of weighing up interests, in the optimum marketing of our offer pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR. The Trustbadge and the services advertised are an offer of Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15C, DE-50823 Cologne.

When the Trustbadge is selected, the web server automatically stores a so-called server log file, which contains, for example, your IP address, date and time of the selection, transferred amount of data and the requesting provider (access data), and which documents the selection. This access data is not evaluated and is automatically overwritten within seven days of your visit to the site.

Additional personal data is only transferred to Trusted Shops if, after the conclusion of an order, you decide to use Trusted Shops products or have already registered to use them. In this case, the contractual agreement between you and Trusted Shops applies.

Data usage for postal and email advertising and your right of objection
We also reserve the right to store your first name and surname, postal address, email address and, as far as we have received this additional information from you as part of the contractual relationship, your title, academic degree, year of birth and profession, branch or business name in summarised lists and to use them for our own advertising purposes, e.g. for sending interesting offers and information about our products by mail or email.
The use of data for post and email advertising is based on Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.

Credit check and scoring

If we pay in advance, e.g. when purchasing on account, we reserve to submit the data entered by you during the ordering process (e.g. name, address and date of birth), to obtain a forecast of your probability of payment, to verify your address (deliverability check) and to decide which payment methods we will offer you, to the following company:

CRIF Bürgel GmbH

Ndl. Hamburg

Friesenweg 4, Haus 12

22763 Hamburg

The credit information can contain probability values (score values) which are calculated on the basis of scientifically recognised mathematical-statistical methods and whose calculation includes, among other things, address data. We use the information obtained on the statistical probability of a default to obtain a balanced decision on whether to establish, implement or terminate the contractual relationship. Your interests worthy of protection are taken into account in accordance with legal provisions. The credit check is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 b) & f) GDPR.

Use of Cookies
In order to make your visit to our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after closing your browser ("session cookies").

Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit it (persistent cookies). You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and individually decide whether to accept them or to exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general. Failure to accept cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

Cookies required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions you wish to use (e.g. shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (such as cookies for analysing your browsing behaviour) are stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for Web Analysis

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). This makes it possible to assign data, sessions and interactions across multiple devices to a pseudonymous user ID, thus analysing the activities of a user across devices.

Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, in the event of activation of IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. The IP address provided by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. In these purposes our legitimate interest lies in the data processing. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is § 15 para. 3 TMG or Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR. The data sent by us and linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs will be automatically deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period has been reached is deleted automatically once a month. For more information about Terms of Use and Privacy, please see www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html or policies.google.com/privacy.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all the features of this website to the fullest extent possible. You may also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by downloading and installing the Google tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Browser Add-on. Opt out cookies prevent future collection of your data when you visit this website. To prevent Universal Analytics tracking across devices, you must opt out on all systems you use. If you click here, the opt out cookie will be set: Deactive Google Analytics.

We have entered into a contract data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
