BR Relays 12V

Bistable Relays

Bistable relays are used for switching large currents. Their advantage is that no further coil current flows after the switching process – with conventional relays this can be to the magnitude of up to 900 mA. Bistable relays are ideal for remote-controlled battery switches, load relays which are only to be dropped out in exceptional cases, or circuits where large coil currents are not desirable.

Areas of application

  • as a remote-controllable main switch
  • as a remote-controllable battery cut-off switch
  • as a switchable load relay
  • for difficult installation locations (e.g. water, soiling and dirt)
  • in commercial vehicles and rail vehicles
  • in construction machinery
  • for military vehicles
  • in aviation
  • ...
