Ground-breaking Ceremony at LEAB

The northern German late summer weather was kind to the guests at just the right moments: shortly before the start of the event and right on time for the ground-breaking ceremony, the rain held up. In between, everyone present was able to listen to the speakers' entertaining, humorous speeches peppered with personal anecdotes and impressions.

Appealing speeches

Dr Bernd Buchholz, Minister of Economics, Transport, Labour, Technology and Tourism of Schleswig-Holstein, emphasised in his speech what an “[...] excellent signal this investment gives in the current situation.” Likewise, Richard Westerkamp also looked ahead in his speech, pointing out the importance and opportunities of this major investment:

A place is being created here that offers space and room to generate, discuss, try out and implement ideas together. Space to make mistakes, space to learn, space to grow. Together in teams, in project groups, together with our partners: be they customers, suppliers, service providers or schools and universities.

Further speeches by Stefan Wesemann (IHK Schleswig), Kay-Michael Heil (Mayor of Busdorf) and Paul Sindram (architect) confirmed the great personal commitment in all phases and areas of the project by everyone involved.

While moderator Christian Dethlefsen went through the programme, during which, among other things, Fabian Dickau introduced the Energy Unit to the guests and Melf Neimöck vividly demonstrated the function of the PowAirBox on a vehicle of the Busdorf fire brigade, hygiene was observed in exemplary fashion by everyone.

With delicious drinks and food from the Viking tavern in Busdorf, many of the guests stayed longer despite the deteriorating weather, ensuring the event came to an enjoyable conclusion.
