Ice cold and emission-free

Senger is Germany's largest dealer in refrigerated trucks. More recently, the industry leader responded to the increasing demand for electrically powered vehicles. When it came to securing the mobile power supply for the refrigeration units installed in these vehicles, the team came across LEAB - and the Energy Unit Split.

Compact. Powerful. Reasoned.

»There are other solutions on the market, but the Energy Unit convinced us with its compact design, high quality and low weight«, says Markus Kemme, head of the refrigerated transport division at Senger. The wholesale dealer now installs the Energy Unit Split in various vehicle models.

The customers are very satisfied. Because the system is absolutely reliable even with excessive use.

Under a lucky star right from the start

The first demonstration vehicle that Senger had us equip was a Mercedes Benz eVito. Here we were able to optimally demonstrate the strengths of the Energy Unit Split. The heart of the system, the battery pack, is only 9.5 cm high. This means that it can be installed in different places in the vehicle without having to interfere with the architecture. Reliable charging is ensured by our RBC 24105 in combination with a high-quality on-board power distributor.

Powerful but simple

In the end, one more point was decisive for Senger: all devices and cables are pre-assembled. This makes installation quick and easy. »This is ideal, because it was important for us to standardise the solution and be able to use it in different makes«, says Markus Kemme.

Capacity according to customer request

Senger offers its customers two expansion stages: Short Range and Long Range. The former guarantees 10 hours of running time, while the latter allows even 20 hours of uninterrupted cooling. »We are pleased that an ideal solution for sustainable refrigerated vehicles has been created here together with the experts from Senger«, summarises Fabian Dickau, project manager in the LEAB team.
