Looking back on NUFAM 2023

Every two years, the international commercial vehicle industry meets at NUFAM in Karlsruhe. This year, over 400 exhibitors from 23 nations were on site to present sustainable and pioneering technologies. Around 24,000 visitors made their way to the exhibition centre over the four days.

The main topics at this year's NUFAM were alternative drives, digitalisation and sustainability. In this regard, we were particularly successful with our mobile power solutions for electrically powered vehicles.

We were represented at the joint VanSelect stand in Karlsruhe.

Always stay at the right temperature

“We are in the midst of a technological change and, with our Energy Unit with XBU, we offer a perfect solution for mobile power supply for fully electric vehicles. A stable energy supply is essential, especially in the field of temperature-controlled transport. Whether it’s food, pharmaceutical products or chemicals, it is important to ensure that the product-specific cold chain is not interrupted at any time,” explains Fabian Dickau.

The right drive

Many visitors to the joint VanSelect commercial vehicle portal stand were able to see the modular, high-performance system for themselves. These included both first-time contacts and existing customers.

Companies whose fleets have not yet converted to electric vehicles were still highly satisfied with our LPS II. This ensures that the downtimes of vehicles with combustion engines are reliably buffered and that the cooling is stable when the vehicle engine is switched off.

Soon to be controlled via app

“NUFAM was important for us to make new contacts and strengthen existing ones. The temperature-controlled transport sector is very important to us and we are following developments closely and creating new solutions,” says Fabian Dickau.

This also includes the new “unity” system from LEAB, which will soon be compatible with both the Energy Unit with XBU and the LPS II and was presented at the trade fair. Unity enables the systems to be monitored and controlled via smart phone. More information will be available here soon.
