Quality Day 2023: The We decides

After the first Quality Day in July 2022, it quickly became clear to us that we would continue with the concept until we had gone through all departments one by one. Last year, LEAB's production department kicked things off and presented its quality assurance measures and steps, but this time it was the turn of order processing. The aim was to give colleagues from other departments an insight into everyday life.

Quality in all areas

The Head of Quality Management at LEAB, Nicole Schmidt, led through the day as she did the first time and recognises the importance of the event.

“High quality cannot be created in a vacuum. It needs to permeate every area. We created this day so that the different departments can become even more aware of each other, thereby further optimising the overall process,” she explains.

Insights into order processing

Order processing in particular has many overlaps with other departments - from purchasing to production and sales to service after the order has been processed.

“The order processing team consists of five employees. Three of them have described their day-to-day work. What happens here? Where do we need to be particularly attentive? What do we need from other departments in order to work well?” says Nicole Schmidt. “That was an exciting insight.”

It remains to be seen which department will continue next year, but the Quality Day will definitely continue in 2024.
