Smashing, digging, making contacts: our sponsorship at Kiel TV

We have been sponsoring the men's team of Kiel TV since the beginning of the current season of the 2nd Volleyball Bundesliga season. The fact that we are committed to providing mutual support in the region has been demonstrated by our involvement with the HSG Schleswig handball club for several years now. The co-operation with the Kiel Eagles is the next step for us in supporting regional amateur sport even further and playing our part in securing its future.

“We always like to support regional projects and I have personal contacts with the club's business council through my sporting past. It was therefore an obvious choice for us to support the Kiel Eagles as part of the business club,” says Christian Dethlefsen from LEAB.

Talent on and off the pitch

The Eagles' matches are played in the Hein-Dahlinger-Halle in Kiel. There is capacity for almost 1,000 spectators, including two particularly interesting groups for LEAB.

On the one hand, we would like to present ourselves to other companies that we might be able to do business with. On the other hand, we also want to generate attention for us as an employer at Kiel University. We do this both in the business club and through our perimeter advertising.

“With the Christian Albrechts University and the University of Applied Sciences, there are now two strong institutions here for prospective electrical engineers. The students are not only represented in the hall in the audience, but in some cases also on the field,” says Christian Dethlefsen. “Our aim is to reach these students.”

New and old enthusiasm

In addition to everyday league life, our sponsorship gives us the opportunity to make new contacts at networking events. The location, the size of the club and the hall are ideal for our sphere of activity - and the type of sport anyway, explains Christian Dethlefsen: “We have a number of amateur players in our ranks at LEAB, so there is a certain sympathy for the sport. But even those who are watching a Kiel Eagles game for the first time give consistently positive feedback,” says Dethlefsen. “All in all, that's a very good thing for us.”
